Getting bills in
PDF bills
Pick one or more bill PDFs. BillIQ fills in the vendor, amount, dates and account number. Scanned image PDFs are read with OCR in your browser, so nothing has to be installed. Anything uncertain is marked for review.
QuickBooks
Load an IIF export from QuickBooks Desktop, a CSV or Excel report such as Unpaid Bills Detail, or a QuickBooks Online bills export. Bills arrive as drafts and missing vendors are created for you.
Your scanner
If you scan mail with ScanRename, BillIQ reads its log and picks up new bills each time you open the app or press Refresh.
AnaPlexus
Firms that file their mail in AnaPlexus can send bill details to BillIQ automatically. Only the bill's fields are sent, never the document, and a link opens the original in AnaPlexus.
Never loaded twice. A bill with the same vendor, date, reference number and amount is recognized and skipped, whichever way it came in.
Approving and paying
Drafts, approvals, payments
Each bill moves from draft to approved to paid, and only an admin can approve or pay. Bills that need a second look stay marked for review until someone checks them.
Check printing
Choose the open bills, set the starting check number and date, and print one check per payee on standard laser check stock. Positions follow QuickBooks' layout and can be nudged for your printer.
Check register
Payments, check numbers and deposits in one place, so you can see what went out, to whom and when.
Vendors and account history
Each vendor keeps its payee account numbers and terms, and you can see everything paid to them over time.
Your team
Each person signs in with their own username under your firm's code, and sees only what their role allows.

Who entered, changed, approved, paid or deleted what, and when.
Security
Signing in
Firm code, username and password, or Sign in with Google. Repeated wrong passwords lock the account for a while, and sign-in pages are protected against bots.
Signed out when idle
After 30 minutes without activity, BillIQ signs the user out, so an unattended desk doesn't stay open.
Your files stay private
Imported PDF bills are stored outside the public website and are only shown to signed-in users of your firm.
Every connection encrypted
BillIQ is served only over HTTPS.
